Is there a way to still see the Emily character in a possible season 4, after the conclusion of season 3 left her upset and her future ambiguous? We obviously hope so, mostly because we love Italia Ricci as an actress first and foremost. With all the cast changes over the years, we really need to hold on to as many longtime players as we possibly can. Also, Emily has a vast knowledge of the political system at this point, and it’s good for President Kirkman to have a foil — someone who knows him almost as well as he knows himself.

That could technically be the end of her story, but it also leaves space for her to walk back into a brand new season, should such a thing arise. Disoriented and unable to regain control of her motor functions, Hannah fell down a flight of stairs and was unable to breathe.
